Join us in a software development role within the Pensions and Investment modelling team of the Digital Services department

What we do?

We develop and maintain a range of models for LCP’s Pensions and Investment departments. Our aim is to take complex real-world problems and help to solve them using technology – eg monitoring asset portfolios, projecting future benefit payments and asset-liability-modelling for pension schemes.

The models we are responsible for help client-facing teams produce advice that is clear, timely and informative and help our clients understand complex problems so they can take appropriate actions. As a business, we’re looking to technology to help us continue to innovate and stay ahead of the market, which makes it an exciting time to join the team – our team has doubled in size over the past few years! The rise of AI also opens up new possibilities for both LCP’s technology offering for clients and more effective ways for us to work internally, with fresh opportunities for our team to bring ideas on the best way to make use of the AI tools available.

The nature of our work is variable and dynamic as we need to react quickly to meet the needs of other departments and LCP’s clients. This means no two days are the same and you have an opportunity to develop functionality that has wide-ranging impacts and helps set LCP apart from its competitors. We think this makes it interesting, challenging and exciting.

The Role

As a graduate on the team, you will:

  • Learn how to code through our graduate training program and learning on the job with our team of experienced developers (no prior coding experience necessary) – primarily C#, but with exposure to other languages including SQL and front-end TypeScript, CSS and HTML.
  • Develop software in an agile way, making use of Azure DevOps.
  • Gain a greater understanding of Pensions and Investment issues, to help you model them accurately.
  • Work on our key models, like Visualise, writing new functionality and helping solve issues for client teams.
  • Work closely with the pensions and investment experts within the team to ensure new functionality is tested rigorously before release.
  • Liaise with contacts in other departments to understand their requirements for new functionality and consider the best ways to implement it.

Your Growth Pathway:

  • Graduate Training Programme: We provide a curated series of sessions spanning broad professional and technical training – all geared towards helping you hit the ground running in your work as a software developer.
  • Mentoring & On-the-Job Training: Beyond formal training, build experience across our diverse range of projects, backed by our robust mentoring system.

Why should you choose LCP?

  • Vibrant Culture: Build your career in an environment brimming with fun, collaboration, and mutual growth.
  • Competitive package: Attractive, flexible benefits package that can be tailored to your specific needs.
  • Your Wellbeing: We don’t just care about your work; we care about YOU. Our benefits are structured to bolster your overall wellbeing, ensuring you’re always at the top of your game.
  • A Celebration of Diversity: At LCP, every voice matters. We champion a space where all forms of diversity are celebrated, ensuring everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Ready to embark on a career journey where your potential has no bounds and you can power possibility? LCP awaits you.
