Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Leeds Actuarial Team for a 9 – 12 month full time placement beginning in Summer 2020 (dates to be agreed).

You will be providing general support to the Actuarial Team, including carrying out tasks such as individual member calculations, scheme valuations and asset/liability modelling.

Full training will be provided during the course of the internship by the Actuarial Team, so you need no prior experience of actuarial work before applying. It is much more important that you have an interest in a potential future career as an actuary, as well as being willing to learn, keen to take on responsibility, and happy to work as part of a team as well as individually.

You may already have graduated or be expecting to graduate in or before 2022 with a 2:1 or above in a numerate degree. You will also have good GCSE and A Level results, including an A at A-Level maths, and basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.

The successful candidate would need to be based near the Leeds office or be willing and able to commute easily throughout the course of the internship.

The deadline for applications is midday on Friday 10th January 2020.
