In this role, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects including IFRS 17, reserve valuation, pricing, risk/capital management, RBC, merger and acquisitions, and predictive analytics for our Property & Causality clients across Southeast Asia. Work closely with consultants and project managers to provide customised solutions for our clients.

The Role

  • Work with consultants and project managers on a variety of general insurance-related client projects
  • Manage project workstreams and/or smaller projects
  • Data preparation as well as producing the initial analysis and explaining those results
  • Developing actuarial models using WTW’s market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients
  • Preparing for client meetings, and work on-site at clients’ offices from time to time, if required
  • Deliver high-quality work in compliance with excellence standards and proactively look to improve the process
  • Manage time effectively between multiple concurrent assignments
  • Develop a strong understanding of the insurance industry across Southeast Asia
  • Seek learning and development opportunities
  • Prepare and review draft reports for review by the senior consultant

The Requirements

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields
  • Proven relevant P&C actuarial experience
  • Fluent in both Thai and English
  • Good progress in actuarial examinations from recognised international actuarial bodies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, especially in report writing and articulating technical concepts
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Ideally a solid understanding of IFRS 17, reserving, pricing, RBC and/or M&A
  • Well organised and detail oriented
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiarity with WTW’s actuarial software for example, Emblem, Radar, ResQ and/or ResQ Financial Reporter will be highly regarded
