Our Actuarial Trainee Scheme will see your skills grow and mathematical talent flourish in a friendly and stimulating environment. Working in our Risk and Actuarial Function, you can look forward to using various actuarial methods and modelling tools to calculate capital and risk that both the business and regulatory bodies rely on. From supporting the design documentation and use of the capital models to analysing internal and external data, you’ll get involved in a wide variety of tasks that involve the preparation and interpretation of complex technical data. About you
You’re someone who makes things happen; you don’t wait for opportunities to come to you. Working independently you can put your familiarity with actuarial tools and techniques to good use, always taking the time to process information and conform to regulatory requirements. And because you’re always striving to achieve more, you team your inquisitive nature and analytical mind-set with sound actuarial judgement to get the best results. Being able to connect and relate with others is key and you’ll also need to be willing to share your knowledge, as colleagues will likely look to you as a mentor. You’ll also need:
- 3 grade B or higher A-Levels that include mathematics and exclude general studies
- At least a 2:1 in a mathematics based honours degree
