What is involved?
Our placement students are exposed to a variety of real client issues and from the start you will become a valuable member of a motivated, supportive and sociable team. Our students are exposed to all aspects of the work of our actuarial team, for example carrying out valuations of benefits for pension schemes and individual members. We believe that the experience we offer our placement students allows them to develop invaluable skills that will help them greatly with their future studies and career.

Who are Xafinity looking for?
Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organisation skills as well as the ability to “think outside the box” to deliver solutions for our clients. It is also really important that the candidate works well with others as part of a team. Working together is something we pride ourselves on at Xafinity; the office has an atmosphere where everyone is willing to help and offer their advice and support.
In terms of academic success we are looking for candidates that have strong numerical and analytical skills who ideally are working towards achieving an upper second class (2:1) or higher in a relevant degree. Competency is Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a general interest in our industry, are desirable.
