This role sits within our MGA pricing team, which includes Home, Motor and Travel portfolios. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the MGA Pricing Lead, you will be responsible for the following:

  • High quality, detailed pricing analysis of multiple portfolios across our MGA book
  • Engaging with, and influencing, a wide variety of internal & external stakeholders through excellent communication skills.
  • Regular reporting of key trends and performance forecasts
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures, including claim trend analysis and predictive modelling, to ensure you are able to provide first class service to our stakeholders.
  • Driving innovation by constantly seeking out efficiencies and improvements to existing processes.
  • Potentially taking on management of a junior pricing analyst, helping to support their personal development, technical capabilities and work resource.
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience gained in an Actuarial role
  • Market, risk and business awareness
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • PC Skills – MS Office suite essential, SQL / R knowledge would be an advantage
  • Experience in managing MGA pricing portfolios, especially in Personal Lines markets, would be an advantage
  • Pricing background desirable, but someone in reserving or capital modelling looking to make the move to pricing would be considered.
