Deadline

18 Feb 2015

Our First Year Insight programme is a brand new programme for 2015 designed to let you find out more about KPMG and the different types of projects and client work you could be involved in with a career at KPMG.

But what really stands out about the programme is the opportunity for you to pick up crucial employability skills that will give you a headstart on your peers and ace employer application processes.
The programme is packed with practical takeaways which you can use not just in job interviews and assessments, but also across everything you do and will stay with you for a lifetime. From making the best impact with new networks, in meetings and interviews, to effectively managing tasks and projects.
You’ll also get a unique insider’s view into one of the world’s leading business advisory firms, the work we do, the industries we work in and the big issues facing our clients; from the next big thing in cyber security, to cutting through the complexities of business risk.
Over the two day Insight programme, you will network with staff from all functions of KPMG, from senior staff to recent graduates, so you can find out what life and a career at KPMG is really like.
Most importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity to fast track yourself through our recruitment process. If you are successful, at the end of the programme you will have the opportunity to be shortlisted through to a final interview for a Vacation programme position for the following year. Again, a successful vacation placement can lead to a fast track route onto one of our Graduate programmes. More detail on our Vacation programme can be found here.

Who’s it for?

The programme is for students in their first year of university (or second year if you are on a four year course). We’re looking for people who are smart, ambitious and as focused on their career as we are.
As a general rule, you’ll be expected to meet the following requirements:
◾Minimum grade B GCSE* Maths
◾Minimum grade B GCSE* English
◾Minimum 300 UCAS Tariff points (or 24 UCAS points)
(* or equivalent)
Please note, we only consider your ‘top’ three ‘A’ level grades and do not accept General Studies.

What business areas can I join?

The Insight Day is not aligned to any business area – it’s a chance for you to understand what the different functions within KPMG do on a day-to-day basis.

When it is?

The programme runs across five of our offices: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Glasgow.
This is a two day non-residential course running in the week commencing 13th April 2015.
Candidates must be able to attend an assessment centre in London on 19th February 2015, regardless of your choice of office location, so please ensure that you are available to attend this before applying. You may be eligible to claim a reimbursement towards your travel expenses.
