Be part of a team of Actuarial experts who carry out risk-focused second line assurance across their Life and General Insurance business
Overview
Key Duties (including but not limited to):
- Provide analysis and insight on risk topics to their senior stakeholders, helping them apply sound judgement and understand complex problems
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the business, and gain experience of validating actuarial models and apply your technical knowledge to make recommendations that inform business decision making
- Be an effective team leader and people manage
- Be a part of a supportive and focused team with the role being very varied and use a wide range of methods to build your knowledge
Qualifications required:
- 2:1 degree with strong mathematical content or equivalent
- Fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent
Experience required:
- Proven and substantial general insurance experience including strong technical knowledge of actuarial techniques for general insurance pricing, reserving or capital modelling
- Demonstrable experience in leading a team
- Proven experience of report writing (at Board or Committee level) and working to strict timelines
