To work predominately with underwriters but also liaising across various departments including claims and actuarial reserving teams.

Overview

Key duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Case Pricing and monitoring of large accounts
  • Model development
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects
  • Develop strong working relationships with underwriting, reserving and claims teams
  • Assist with the development and implementation of pricing controls and systems of governance
  • Takes responsibility for own and colleagues’ Health & Safety at all times
  • To ensure customers are treated fairly at all times, in accordance with the Conduct Risk Policy and other relevant policies and procedures
  • To be aware and adhere to all obligations under GDPR, ensuring that the business complies with these requirements
  • To avoid breaches and to report them to the Data Protection Officer when they occur regardless of whether electronic or on paper

Qualifications required:

  • 2:1 in a numerate degree
  • Studying towards fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries

Experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years actuarial experience in general insurance field
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience in using a programming language e.g. VBA, R, Python or SQL
