To support the Head of Group Pricing in ensuring all product pricing is accurate and aligned to the Group’s risk appetite and financial objectives, and to support the development of new products.
Overview
Key duties (including, but not limited to):
- Produce, distribute and review the appropriateness of pricing yield curves against Group’s investment strategy for new business
- Produce monthly pricing metrics MI, and review metrics produced by the business units
- Produce and distribute pricing yield curves against Group’s investment strategy for new business
- Support the Head of Group Pricing in maintaining up-to-date pricing frameworks for all products, and reviewing the pricing approach for new products and risks
- Maintain close relationships with related departments to ensure a consistent understanding of financial metrics and impacts across pricing, reinsurance, valuation and capital management
- Support the development and maintenance of the data, processes and systems used by the Group Pricing team, including the appropriate quality assurance, controls and documentation
- Support the Head of Group Pricing to deliver pricing projects, and to support wider company projects, as required
- Maintain own competence and personal development
- Support the Chief Actuary function as required
Qualifications required:
- Qualified FIA, FFA or equivalent
- Numerate related degree 2.2 or above (or equivalent).A grade in A-level mathematics (or equivalent)
Experience required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the UK life industry
- Pricing and product development experience of annuities, term assurance and/or lifetime mortgages
- Experience in modelling life reinsurance transactions
