Overview

Responsibilities:

  • To have a high level of knowledge and be able to play a lead role in at least one of the areas above and actively develop knowledge in other areas as required
  • There may be a requirement to work in a wider Finance or Risk role, for example business planning
  • To liaise with and act as a point of contact for the broader business and some external customers, and to provide accurate technical input and guidance in areas of expertise
  • To chair internal meetings as required
  • To provide line management, guidance and coaching for actuarial students within the teams, as required
  • Play a key role in pro-actively developing processes within the team

Qualifications required:

  • Newly qualified Actuary
  • Degree level education at grade 2:1 or above preferably in a numerical subject

Experience required:

  • Knowledge of actuarial life insurance systems and software an advantage
  • Highly numerate with good IT skills
  • Expert understanding of Excel software
  • Will have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and figures
