Barnett Waddingham has been named best actuarial consultant at Pensions Week’s 2013 Pension Investment Provider Awards (PIPA). The awards seek to recognise the excellence of providers of products and services to UK occupational pensions schemes. The four key criteria used to adjudicate the awards are:

  1. Performance
  2. Innovation
  3. Service standards
  4. Competitive edge.

The PIPA judging panel praised Barnett Waddingham for its ‘superior innovation and client service in a fiercely contested category that caused a lot of debate between the judges’.
Barnett Waddingham has grown its client base considerably in the past year, with 51 new actuarial clients attracted by its commitment to client service. This has been evidenced with 90% of respondents in the 2012 client survey rating its service as good or excellent. The firm’s most recent innovation was the production of a ground breaking longevity analysis tool that allows corporate clients to understand their risk from longevity exposure, a critical area generally overlooked due to focus on financial risk.
Barnett Waddingham Senior Partner, Nick Salter, commented: ‘We are all immensely proud to win this award in such a competitive market. I would like to thank each member of our first class team for their hard work and the awards’ judging panel for recognising Barnett Waddingham’s commitment to innovation and providing outstanding service to our clients.’
